SWS: 60% of Filipinos say Duterte's VP run violates constitution

A Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey found that 60% of Filipinos believe President Rodrigo Duterte's potential vice presidential run violates the Constitution, while only 39% support his candidacy.

The SWS conducted a poll from June 23 to 26 with 1,200 adult respondents nationwide.

PDP-Laban Cusi wing exec Atty. Melvin Matibag criticized the survey for being incomplete and not asking if respondents would vote for Duterte if the Constitution allowed it.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte is sensitive to public opinion and could reconsider his VP bid based on these results.
