Suspect in drug chase causes runway incursion at Pagadian Airport, no flights disrupted

A suspect involved in a hot pursuit related to drug-related offenses caused a runway incursion at Pagadian Airport on Sunday, August 17, but no flights were disrupted and there was no damage to airport facilities.

Barangay authorities chased the individual from Barangay Muricay into the airport's perimeter fence and onto Runway 20.

The suspect was promptly apprehended by security personnel and handed over to the Pagadian City Police.

Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) assured the public that flight operations continued without any interruptions or damage.

CAAP emphasized the importance of maintaining airport safety and security.
