DBM: DOH yet to determine cost of COVID-19 vaccine storage

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) stated on Thursday that the cost of storing COVID-19 vaccines has yet to be determined by the Department of Health (DOH).

Senator Pia Cayetano revealed on Wednesday that the DOH’s proposed P212.7-billion budget for 2021 does not cover supply chain-related expenses such as storage and distribution.

Cayetano emphasized during Senate budget deliberations that additional funding is needed to cover these costs, which are not included in the current budget.
