Suarez to discuss title fight with Singson at PSA Forum

World title challenger Charly Suarez will discuss his upcoming fight for the WBC super-featherweight championship against Emanuel Navarrete with former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis 'Chavit' Singson at a Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum on Tuesday, April 8.

Joining Suarez and Singson is trainer Delfin Boholst; the event will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex conference hall.

Singson facilitated the title fight scheduled for May 10 at Pechanga Arena in San Diego following negotiations with Navarrete's promotional outfit Top Rank.

Suarez, who has had a successful career as an amateur fighter including three gold medals from the Southeast Asian Games and a silver medal from the Asian Games, aims to claim his first world title after representing the country in the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympics.

PSA President Francis Ochoa encourages members to attend the forum, which will be livestreamed on the PSA Facebook page and aired on Radyo Pilipinas 2.
