DOT repatriates Canadian tourists from Caraga

The Department of Tourism (DOT) in Caraga repatriated five stranded Canadian tourists on Tuesday via chartered flights.

Four Canadians were ferried to Davao City Airport and flew to Manila, while one was flown directly from Cagayan de Oro City.

DOT-13 thanked local officials for their assistance in the process of repatriation.

The agency is now working with embassies to arrange chartered flights for stranded Australian and Spanish tourists.

Additionally, DOT-13 has provided financial aid to 104 local tourists stranded due to quarantine measures, with a total of 167 local tourists affected across the region.
