PSEi weakens for third day, peso ends flat

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) weakened for the third consecutive day on Thursday, dropping 1.05 percent to 6,927.75 points due to the US Thanksgiving holiday.

All sectoral indices except Mining and Oil declined, with Property leading losses at 1.38 percent.

Volume totaled PHP15.49 billion in shares traded, with losers outnumbering gainers 148 to 69.

On Wednesday, PSEi fell by 1.51 percent while the peso ended sideways against the US dollar, influenced by expectations of vaccine distribution and oil price increases.
