Speaker Romualdez supports Marcos' call for budget reforms, flood control projects, transparency

Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez on Monday expressed full support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s call to realign national priorities with the everyday needs of Filipinos, emphasizing a budget overhaul to ensure flood control projects are corruption-free.

The Speaker emphasized the need for accountability, efficiency, and direct impact on Filipino families' daily lives through budget allocations, particularly prioritizing flood control projects to prevent corruption.

He also backed transparency in budget deliberations during the bicameral conference committee to reconcile Senate and House versions of the national budget, aiming to eliminate inefficiencies and ensure spending directly addresses people's needs.
