Speaker Romualdez condoles car attack victims in Vancouver

House Speaker Martin Romualdez expressed condolences to Filipinos affected by a car attack during the Lapu-Lapu Day festival in Vancouver on Saturday.

Romualdez assured that the House of Representatives is ready to extend support, protection, and justice to those impacted by the incident, urging Philippine consular officers in Canada to act swiftly.

Deputy Majority Leader Paolo Ortega condemned the senseless act of violence and called for a thorough investigation to ensure accountability.

ACT Teachers Party List Representative France Castro also offered her condolences and urged the government to assist the victims' families.

The suspect, identified as Kai-Ji Adam Lo, 30, has been charged with eight counts of second-degree murder by the BC Prosecution Service following his arrest at the scene.
