Sotto seeks DPWH records for Pasig flood project accountability

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto described the Sumbong sa Pangulo website as a good starting point to identify flood control projects within his jurisdiction.

Sotto's office is taking steps to determine accountability for unfinished projects and plans to file an FOI request with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to secure additional information.

The mayor noted that they need access to program of works, Bill of Quantities, Detailed Unit Price Analysis, and bidding documents to aid their investigation.

Sotto emphasized the importance of these documents for local government units to assist national investigations within their jurisdiction and engage civil society organizations for long-term monitoring.

Launched two weeks after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s State of the Nation Address on July 28, 2025, the Sumbong sa Pangulo website lists over 9,800 flood control projects searchable by location, type, and fiscal year approval.
