Solon files reso condemning China harassment in PH waters

Muntinlupa Representative Ruffy Biazon filed House Resolution 1707 in the House of Representatives on April 12, condemning China's harassment of Filipinos in the West Philippine Sea.

The resolution urges the DFA to file a diplomatic protest and summon the Chinese representative to explain the ongoing harassment by Chinese Navy vessels within the Philippines' EEZ.

It also calls for the Department of National Defense to conduct maritime patrols and assert Philippine rights in these waters.

Biazon filed the resolution in response to an April 8 incident where a Filipino civilian vessel with a TV crew was allegedly harassed and denied passage near Ayungin Shoal, about 105 nautical miles from Palawan.
