NBA player Jeremy Sochan visits Manila for qualifiers

San Antonio Spurs player Jakob Poeltl Sochan, also known as Jeremy Sochan, is in Manila for the NBA Rising Stars Invitational Qualifiers running from May 7 to 10.

During a visit to the NBA Philippines office on Wednesday, Sochan shared his observations of Manila's size and traffic situation, expressing surprise at its density and noting that he has been learning patience while navigating the city.

Sochan also mentioned having many fans in the Philippines and expressed interest in potentially playing an NBA game here in the future, possibly with the Spurs.

The 6-foot-8 forward from Poland aims to share his basketball knowledge with Filipino youth during the qualifiers and emphasizes enjoying and learning from the process.

He previously played against Gilas Pilipinas in a 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament preparation game and noted the strong basketball culture here, adding that he might sport blue, red, and white hair if there's an NBA game in the Philippines.
