SMC players test negative for COVID-19

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) teams have taken an initial step towards potentially resuming their Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) seasons.

Players from SMC's three PBA franchises—Barangay Ginebra, San Miguel Beermen, and Magnolia Hotshots—underwent COVID-19 tests which all came back negative.

SMC president Ramon Ang established an on-site RT-PCR testing facility to reduce the burden on government health facilities.

The PBA season has been suspended since March 11 due to the pandemic, with a decision expected by August on whether to resume or cancel the season.
