SM invests P1.5B for new hotel in Sta. Rosa

SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation will invest P1.5 billion to construct a new Park Inn by Radisson hotel in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, set to open in the first quarter (Q1) of 2029.

The hotel, designed by H1 Architecture, will feature 201 rooms along with amenities such as dining outlets, a pool, gym, and function halls.

Located near an existing SM mall and connected via bridgeway to the upcoming SMX Sta. Rosa Trade Hall, the new facility aims to cater to the growing demand for accommodation in the business and industrial hub of Sta. Rosa.

SM Hotels executive vice president Peggy Angeles highlighted that the project will address the increasing need for lodging among business and leisure travelers while also creating jobs and stimulating local economic activity.

With SM Prime Holdings posting an all-time high net income, the company plans to spend P100 billion this year, with a significant portion allocated to integrated property developments under its residential business and mall operations.
