SM Aura hosts International Women's Day Summit on women's empowerment

SM Aura's Samsung Hall hosted SM Supermalls' 5th Annual International Women's Day Summit, 'Women Inspiring Women,' a free event focusing on women's empowerment.

The summit featured discussions led by United Nations (UN) Women National Goodwill ambassador Karen Davila and included speakers such as BDO brand ambassador Small Laude, Dr. Rica Cruz, Amanda Cua, Ana Lorenzana de Ocampo, Jessica Bianca Sy, Jacqe Gutierrez, Gina Consing-McAdam, Philippine Commission on Women Chairperson Ermelita Valdeavilla, Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Blesila Lantayona, Connected Women co-founder Gina Romero, Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Hataman, Canon Europe ambassador Chiara Negrello, Canva PH marketing and growth lead Maisie Littaua, Canva Southeast Asia regional lead Yani Hornilla-Donato, Cibo's Bledes Fores-Legarda, Manila Bulletin executive director Pinky Colmenares.

A photo exhibit titled 'Silent Shift - AI to Empower Women in the Philippines Beyond Traditional Limits' by Chiara Negrello was also showcased, emphasizing the role of technology in empowering women.

SM Supermalls president Steven Tan highlighted the company's commitment to gender inclusivity and its efforts beyond March to support women throughout the year.

The event underscored SM Supermalls' dedication to promoting a gender-inclusive future and supporting women's leadership and empowerment through various initiatives.
