Six BTS members complete military service

Six out of seven BTS members have completed their military service as of Wednesday, with Jimin and Jungkook joining RM and V who were discharged the previous day.

Jimin and Jungkook greeted fans both through a Weverse Live session and outside their base in Yeoncheon after serving 18 months in the South Korean military, expressing gratitude to supporters.

The pair received warm welcomes from BTS ARMY and staff members upon discharge, including bouquets and flashlights as they walked around.

Only rapper Suga remains on active duty as a social service agent due to health issues but is expected to be discharged before June ends.

During their group hiatus, the members have been focusing on solo projects; Jimin released his album 'Muse' in 2024 and Jungkook's debut solo album 'Golden' dropped in 2023.

The discharge of BTS members coincides with Festa, the group's 12th anniversary celebration which runs until June 13.
