Singson named MAP Management Person of Year

Former Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson was named Management Person of the Year 2024 by the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) for his contributions to good governance and anti-corruption.

Singson, currently President and CEO of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, expressed humility upon receiving the award on Wednesday, emphasizing that he was just doing his job well.

Under Singson's leadership at DPWH from 2010 to 2016, the agency transformed into an efficient line department during President Benigno Aquino III’s term, earning him recognition for integrity and managerial competence.

MAP highlighted Singson's ethical conduct and spiritual uprightness, noting his unblemished track record of leadership in both public and private sectors, particularly in areas like tollways management and public-private partnerships.

Singson confirmed that he is stepping down as MPTC president and CEO this month, with Arrey A. Perez set to take over the role.
