DILG to issue show cause orders to 43 mayors over SAP delays

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will issue show cause orders to 43 mayors for delays in distributing cash aid under the Social Amelioration Program.

These mayors have an accomplishment rate of only 79% or below, with four from Metro Manila, eleven from Western Visayas, eight from Mimaropa, five from Central Visayas, and four from Davao Region.

DILG Secretary Eduardo Año stated that a vast majority of other local government units achieved a 97% distribution rate by May 13.
