Sharon Cuneta visits Mindanao, highlights unity

Megastar Sharon Cuneta shared that her recent visit to Mindanao was one of the highlights of her life.

Accompanied by her husband, former Senator Francis 'Kiko' Pangilinan, she visited Camp Darapanan in Sultan Kudarat, where Pangilinan received an endorsement from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

Cuneta expressed her deep affection for Mindanao, which has been a source of concern and pride for her since childhood.

She revealed that she often asks Pangilinan about the region's progress and launched a fundraiser for Marawi in 2018.

Her interest in Muslim culture began when she was young, leading to her thorough research on Mindanao after Pangilinan won his senatorial seat in 2001.

Cuneta emphasized unity among Filipinos, stating that everyone is brothers and sisters with genuine love for each other.

She has been a vocal advocate for the region, reflecting her long-standing connection to it.
