Senators deny Senate shake-up and impeachment plots

Rumors persist about a potential Senate shake-up and impeachment attempts against Vice President Sara Duterte, but several senators deny any plans to oust Senate President Francis 'Chiz' Escudero with only six session days left before the Yuletide break.

Deputy Majority Leader JV Ejercito and Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada dismissed these rumors, stating that there is no reason for change as the Senate session nears its end and many tasks remain to be completed.

Senator Cynthia Villar, who was rumored to replace Escudero, denied any involvement in such a plot, emphasizing that it would be unnecessary given their current performance.

Known Duterte supporter Senator Ronald 'Bato' Dela Rosa also dismissed the rumors, noting he would have heard about any plans involving Villar since they are close associates.

Estrada highlighted Escudero's legal background as beneficial for potential impeachment trials and affirmed his support towards Escudero.
