Senate adopts OP's P10.5B 2025 budget in under a minute

The Senate adopted the Office of the President's (OP) proposed 2025 budget in less than a minute on Wednesday, November 13.

Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino moved for the adoption of the budget without objections from other senators after consulting with the committee on finance chair and Minority Leader Koko Pimentel.

The OP's proposed budget totals P10.5 billion, reflecting parliamentary courtesy extended to a co-equal branch of government.

No questions or debates were raised during the plenary session regarding the budget proposal.

The OP's budget was the first item on the agenda for the budget plenary deliberations.
