Bam Aquino honors Ninoy on death anniversary

Senator Bam Aquino honored his uncle, late Senator Benigno 'Ninoy' Aquino Jr., on Thursday during the 43rd anniversary of Ninoy's death.

Bam highlighted Ninoy's decision to return to the Philippines despite knowing the risks and potential imprisonment or assassination, reiterating his famous words: 'Yes, the Filipino is worth dying for.'

He emphasized that Ninoy's death was a result of his deep love for the Filipino people, which is the essence of true leadership.

At the wreath-laying ceremony at NAIA Terminal 1, Bam urged Filipinos to continue fighting for freedom and justice, echoing Ninoy's belief in the worthiness of the Filipino people.

Bam reminded attendees that during difficult times, it is crucial not to lose hope, as Ninoy exemplified throughout his life, even during dark moments when he was imprisoned at Fort Santiago.
