SEC expects strong capital market rebound after pandemic

The Philippine capital market is expected to recover strongly after the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Despite the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, public offerings by companies like BPI, SM Prime Holdings Inc., and RCBC have continued to receive strong support from investors.

SEC Chairperson Emilio Aquino expressed optimism about the resilience of the corporate sector, capital market, and economy as a whole.
