Sara Duterte back as Hugpong chair

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has returned to her position as chair of the regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) on Friday.

She rejoined the party just days after she left it and joined Lakas-CMD, a national political party.

Sara now concurrently chairs both parties with permission from Lakas-CMD.

According to HNP secretary general Anthony Del Rosario, Sara’s re-appointment is possible as HNP is a regional party and its constitution does not prohibit membership in other parties.
