CSB beats Perpetual 61-56 to maintain playoff hopes

College of St. Benilde secured a victory over University of Perpetual Help System DALTA with a score of 61-56 in their men's basketball match on Wednesday at the San Juan Arena.

Justine Sanchez led CSB with 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, and a steal, delivering clutch baskets to stop Perpetual’s late-game rally.

Despite squandering a significant lead of 44-24, the Blazers managed to fend off Perpetual's comeback and maintain their position as playoff contenders with an impressive record of 11-2.

Chris Pagaran led DALTA with 18 points, followed by Mark Gojo Cruz who added 15 points along with eight rebounds, a steal, and a block.

This win strengthens CSB's chances of securing the twice-to-beat incentive in the Final Four playoffs as they now have a comfortable lead over second-seed Mapua University.
