SMC aims to vaccinate 35K employees in 5 weeks

SMC aims to vaccinate over 35,000 employees and extended workforce with AstraZeneca vaccines in five weeks.

The company has already delivered an initial 26,700 doses to various provinces where it operates.

Vaccinations are ongoing at the San Miguel Sports Complex in Pasig City and other sites across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

SMC president Ramon Ang stated their goal is to vaccinate all 70,000 employees quickly and safely while adhering to health expert guidance on vaccine intervals.

Ang noted that SMC has more than enough vaccines for its workforce with an additional batch of 150,000 doses expected next year under a tripartite agreement signed last November.
