San Beda rewards Lady Red Smashers with P100K for NCAA win

San Beda University rewarded its Lady Red Smashers badminton team with a P100,000 prize for winning the NCAA Season 100 women's badminton tournament.

The donation was made possible through the university's Season Pass initiative and presented by Ryu Policarpio, project director of San Beda's badminton program, and Jude Roque, team manager of the Red Lions.

San Beda University rector Rev. Fr. Aloysius Ma. A. Maranan emphasized the importance of the donation in supporting not just basketball but other sports programs as well.

Isabella Pollentes, MVP of the women's badminton tournament and soon-to-be graduate, expressed gratitude for the support and highlighted the team's dedication and perseverance over the years.

The ceremony also saw the presence of coaches Ronald and Rocky Magnaye, along with Lady Red Smashers players Chay Red, Elayssa Morada, Melody Galicia, Lharrene Sales, Andrea Tan, Ariana Belen, Clareese Panganiban, and Jan Racess Ching.
