Salceda leads Rosal for Albay governor by 12 points

A recent Social Weather Stations poll shows Albay 2nd District Representative Joey Salceda leading Noel Rosal in the race for governor of Albay by 12 points, with Salceda securing 44% support compared to Rosal's 32%.

Salceda's running mate, Diday Co, is also ahead for vice governor with a 19-point lead over Jun Alegre, securing 37% of voter support.

The survey, conducted from March 29 to April 5, found that Salceda has increased his lead by 6 percentage points compared to an earlier poll in March.

Rosal faces legal challenges, including disqualification for election code violations in 2022, while Salceda chairs the Committee on Ways and Means in the House of Representatives.

The survey used face-to-face interviews with 3,370 registered voters across Albay's three districts.
