Runrio implements measures for hot weather in 2025 races

Runrio, the organizer of running events in the Philippines, is implementing measures to help runners cope with hot weather during races.

Dela Cruz, a spokesperson for Runrio, emphasized their readiness to handle potential incidents and mentioned plans to increase water allocation for participants.

The Rexona Metro Manila 10 Miler Series will feature six editions throughout 2025, starting in Manila on April 6 at Quirino Grandstand and continuing with the Pasay Leg on May 4 at SM Mall of Asia.

Runrio is considering adjusting race start times based on heat index readings to ensure runners' safety during peak sun hours, as these events coincide with the warm and dry season.

Medical teams will be stationed at every water stop to provide immediate assistance to runners who may experience heat-related issues.
