Ruffa Gutierrez shares emotional farewell to Venice as she heads to US for university

Ruffa Gutierrez expressed her emotions as her youngest daughter, Venice Bektas, prepares to start university in the US.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Aug. 16, Ruffa shared photos of Venice moving into her dorm and their farewell hug at the airport.

Ruffa encouraged Venice to chase her dreams, study hard, and stay connected with family, especially her older sister Lorin who studies in California.

Venice will be attending school in Texas while Ruffa, a single mother since 2007, continues her own education journey.

The actress emphasized her pride despite the sadness of Venice leaving home, using hashtags like #SadButProudMom and #EmptyNester to capture the bittersweet moment.

Ruffa also addressed her eldest daughter Lorin, asking her to be a 'caring ate' to her younger sister and visit often.
