Terrafirma Dyip wins PBA Season 49 opener, outscore Phoenix 30-0 in Q3

Terrafirma Dyip secured the first win of PBA Season 49's Philippine Cup with a 95-87 victory over Phoenix Fuel Masters on Friday.

Terrence Romeo scored all 17 of his points in the second half, including four three-pointers and key baskets that helped maintain Terrafirma's lead late in the fourth quarter.

Terrafirma outscored Phoenix by 30 points in the third quarter to take a commanding 79-59 lead before eventually securing their double-digit victory.

Louie Sangalang led all scorers with 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and two steals for Terrafirma, while Stanley Pringle added 17 points.

Terrafirma's win equals their total from the previous Commissioner's Cup, where they won only one game against eventual champion TNT. They will face Meralco Bolts in their next match on Saturday.
