Robredo calls for underground power lines in typhoon-prone areas

Vice President Leni Robredo called for underground power and communication lines in typhoon-prone areas following Typhoon Odette.

Robredo said this would be more cost-effective in the long run, as it eliminates the need to repair toppled down posts after destructive storms.

She also noted that the absence of power and communication services adversely affects the economy.
