Rep Bienvenido Abante Jr supports Quiboloy extradition to fight sex trafficking

Manila 6th District Representative Bienvenido Abante Jr. expressed support for the extradition of Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy on Saturday.

Abante emphasized the importance of international cooperation in combating sex trafficking, stating that crimes like this cannot be fully addressed without coordination among governments.

He cited the United Nations Palermo Protocol, which the Philippines ratified in 2002 and obliges signatory states to cooperate in investigating and prosecuting trafficking cases.

The representative stressed that protecting women and children from exploitation is a priority and urged for no safe havens for those involved in such crimes.

Abante highlighted that extradition of Quiboloy is crucial for upholding justice, fulfilling international obligations, and ensuring that offenders cannot escape prosecution by crossing borders.
