Remains of slain OFW Garcia arrive in Manila

The remains of Marjorette Garcia, a 32-year-old Filipino worker killed in Saudi Arabia by a Kenyan co-worker, arrived in Manila on Friday.

According to OWWA Administrator Arnell Ignacio and DMW officer-in-charge Hans Leo Cacdac, the suspect was motivated by envy and returned to destroy CCTV cameras before committing the crime.

Garcia's family received PHP50,000 from the provincial government and PHP220,000 in total benefits from OWWA on Saturday.

The slain OFW’s remains were given a hero's welcome in her hometown of San Jacinto, Pangasinan, where officials assured continued support for her family.
