In response to the backlash, ABS-CBN sent flowers and an apology card to Velasquez on Thursday, November 21.

Velasquez shared a photo of the flowers and thanked ABS-CBN for their gesture, adding the hashtag 'Thank you, kalma na.'

The MYX Music Awards event recognized OPM artists on November 21, with P-pop groups SB19 and BINI winning big.

Regine Velasquez graciously accepted the apology and posted a photo of the letter she received from ABS-CBN Digital Team.

ABS-CBN acknowledged its 'deep respect and admiration' for Regine's contributions to Philippine music and promised to improve in future promotions.
