Rain or Shine defeats Blackwater 110-97, rookies shine with standout performances

Rain or Shine secured a 110-97 victory over Blackwater on Tuesday night in their PBA Governors' Cup Group B match.

Coach Yeng Guiao expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, noting that they have 'upgraded' from the previous season and are now capable of contending against strong teams.

Rookies Caelan Tiongson and Felix Lemetti contributed significantly to Rain or Shine's lead with standout performances, scoring 15 points and five rebounds, and 11 points respectively.

Aaron Fuller led the team with 24 points and 19 rebounds, while Blackwater struggled despite Sedrick Barefield's 18-point effort.

Rain or Shine will face Barangay Ginebra this Saturday in Candon, Ilocos Sur.
