Rain or Shine beats Phoenix 109-99; Nocum scores career-high 30 points

Rain or Shine secured a 109-99 victory over Phoenix in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at Philsports Arena, with Adrian Nocum scoring a career-high 30 points.

Nocum went 10-of-20 from the field and added five rebounds, while Jhonard Clarito contributed 20 points including four three-pointers.

Rain or Shine improved to a 5-3 record and can progress into the top eight with a victory against Terrafirma next Wednesday at Philsports Arena.

The Elasto Painters led for most of the game but Phoenix threatened their lead in the second half, cutting it to single digits before falling short.

Phoenix's third consecutive loss dropped them to 2-6 and allowed NLEX, San Miguel Beer, and Converge to secure spots in the quarterfinals.
