Rain displaces fire-evacuated residents, floods schools, stalls vehicles

Heavy rainfall in Mindanao has displaced evacuees already affected by a recent fire, forcing students and teachers in South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur, to brave flooded streets to get home.

In Davao City, vehicles stalled due to floodwaters, while barangay officials attributed the flooding to downpours and high tide.

Evacuees from a Monday fire were forced to move to different classrooms in Barangay Leon Garcia Sr. as water entered the school gymnasium.

Residents of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi reported experiencing heavy rains for about a week.
