Quiambao leads MVP race after emotional triple-double

Kevin Quiambao leads the MVP race after an outstanding first round in the UAAP Men's Basketball Tournament.

Quiambao, who nearly recorded a triple-double against the University of the East on his grandfather's death anniversary, averaged 16.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.

Despite considering missing the game due to personal struggles, Quiambao helped De La Salle University secure an 83-75 win with a stellar performance of 17 points, nine rebounds, and 12 assists.
