Quiambao delays return to pursue NBA opportunity

Kevin Quiambao has delayed his return to the Philippines as he continues his pursuit of an NBA opportunity.

National team coach Tim Cone revealed that Quiambao will participate in workouts with five NBA teams on July 11th, which could influence his schedule moving forward.

Coach Cone mentioned during the unveiling of new Gilas' kits that he has been in constant communication with Quiambao regarding his pursuit of an NBA opportunity and potential Summer League appearances.

If a team shows interest in Quiambao, he may extend his stay for additional Summer League games beyond July 16th; otherwise, he plans to return by then.

Gilas Pilipinas is already preparing for the upcoming FIBA Asia Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, scheduled for August, with limited time due to ongoing PBA Philippine Cup finals.
