Quezon City observes Earth Hour with Mayor Belmonte

Quezon City joined the observance of Earth Hour on Saturday night from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., led by Mayor Joy Belmonte at Robinsons Magnolia's Central Garden.

Belmonte encouraged residents and businesses to participate in sustainability efforts beyond the hour-long event, emphasizing the importance of continuous environmental action.

The ceremonial switch-off featured interactive exhibits, performances using lamps and LED lights, a solidarity circle with Quezon City officials, and a donation booth for used clothes and shoes to support the city's tutoring program.

Participants expressed enthusiasm for Earth Hour, highlighting its role in fostering community engagement and promoting climate change awareness.
