Quezon City Mayor inaugurates Women's Museum, highlights city’s progressive initiatives

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte inaugurated the Tandang Sora Women's Museum in Pasong Tamo, recognizing her privilege and acknowledging the struggles of women before her.

Belmonte emphasizes that Quezon City has a significant impact due to its size and diversity.

Under her leadership, the city has implemented several progressive initiatives such as the right to care card for the LGBTQIA+ community and an anti-teenage pregnancy ordinance.

Quezon City also won Galing Pook Awards for automated birth registration and their early warning system, and has initiated various programs like Libreng Sakay bus service, bike lanes installation, and car-free Sundays.
