At Manila City Jail-Male Dormitory, a dedicated worship space was set up inside the mosque for around 280 Muslim PDLs to observe Eid al-Fitr with Salat al-Eid (morning prayer) and a festive meal.
In Iligan City Jail, 98 Muslim PDLs observed Eid al-Fitr with donated food including fried chicken and beef rendang, while in Marawi City Jail, 157 Muslim PDLs celebrated Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr for the first time in their newly built facility.
Throughout Ramadan, Muslim PDLs were able to observe Salat al-Tarawih (evening prayers) in designated areas, with spaces remaining available beyond Ramadan for continued prayer observance.
