Quezon City dengue cases drop 90% from Feb to April

The Quezon City government reported on Sunday that dengue cases have declined by 90 percent from February to April 2025.

Mayor Joy Belmonte emphasized the need for continued vigilance despite the encouraging decrease in dengue cases.

According to CESD data, dengue cases dropped from 626 between February 16 and 22, 2025, to just 64 cases during April 2-8, 2025.

The city has cleared 123 barangays of outbreak status while 19 remain under the epidemic threshold, with health centers operating on weekends in affected areas.

Residents are encouraged to inspect their homes for stagnant water and maintain cleanliness to prevent dengue transmission, as free test kits are still available at health facilities.
