QCPD deploys 25 vehicles for transport strike

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will deploy 25 vehicles starting Monday to assist commuters affected by a three-day transport strike called by PISTON.

PISTON, an umbrella organization of transport workers, is protesting against the government's program to upgrade public utility vehicles, particularly the replacement of traditional jeepneys with minibuses.

The QCPD will provide free rides on key routes in Quezon City and deploy personnel for foot, mobile, and motorcycle patrols to maintain order and prevent illegal activities during the strike period.
