QC ends deal with Zuellig over vaccine booking glitches

Quezon City government terminated its contract with Zuellig Pharma Corp., the company behind EzConsult, after the vaccine booking website crashed for the ninth time.

The decision came after Mayor Joy Belmonte warned Zuellig Pharma that the city could terminate the contract if improvements were not made by June 18.

Despite claims of a system upgrade to handle up to 50,000 users at once, EzConsult still experienced technical difficulties when new slots for vaccination were opened on Tuesday.
