PSL cancels Grand Prix due to quarantine

The Philippine Superliga (PSL) formally canceled its Grand Prix conference on Monday due to President Duterte's decision to place Luzon under enhanced community quarantine because of the novel coronavirus.

PSL chair Philip Ella Juico stated that they prioritized the health and safety of athletes, coaches, officials, and other stakeholders by calling off the import-laced conference.

Juico encouraged both local and foreign players to return home during this time.

The league plans to monitor the situation and aims to resume the Grand Prix at a later date or when international transfer windows open around October.
