PSEi down on rising COVID-19 cases

Philippine shares closed lower on Wednesday due to rising coronavirus cases and concerns over sustained or intensified infection rates.

The PSEi dropped by 1.73% to close at 6,188.83, with the broader All Shares index also declining.

On Tuesday, the DOH reported a record-high 1,150 new infections, pushing total cases to 31,825 and raising concerns about potential stricter restrictions.
