Philippine shares decline, PSEi down 0.69%

Philippine shares continued to decline on Tuesday as investors maintained a cautious stance, with the PSEi closing at 6,299.67, down by 0.69 percent.

The All Shares index also fell by 0.46 percent to 3,687.86, while Mining and Oil was the only sector to see an increase of 1.04 percent.

Industrials led the declines with a drop of 1.56 percent, reflecting ongoing uncertainty in the market.

Volume of trade increased slightly to USD1.42 billion from USD1.35 billion on Monday, as decliners outnumbered advancers by 114 to 68.

The peso showed slight strength against the dollar, closing at 58.62 from 58.7 on Monday.
