PSC hosts Batang Pinoy with 27 sports in GenSan, Oct 25-30

This year's Batang Pinoy, a PSC grassroots sports program for athletes aged 17 and under, will feature competitions in 27 sports including aquatics-swimming, archery, basketball, chess, and volleyball.

The event aims to provide delegates an experience akin to global-level competition and will be hosted in General Santos City from October 25 to 30.

General Santos City has a rich history of hosting major sporting events, including previous editions of Batang Pinoy, Palarong Pambansa, and BIMP-EAGA Friendship Games.

Preparations for this year's event began in early March with meetings between the PSC and city government officials to ensure successful implementation.

PSC Chair Richard Bachmann emphasized that innovations such as a QR code system for schedules and results will enhance the delegates' experience.
