Philippine Statistics Authority Proceeds with 2020 Census Amid Pandemic

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is set to conduct the 15th Census of Population and the 7th Census of Housing starting September 1, despite challenges posed by the pandemic.

Enumerators will follow strict health protocols including wearing masks, shields, and maintaining physical distance during face-to-face interviews or telephone-assisted interviews.

The census aims to provide data for policymakers to base their social and economic development plans.

PSA appeals for public cooperation in providing truthful answers and adhering to the scheduled interview methods.
